Insolvency professional agency of ICSI (IBBI/IPA/16-17/02)

ICSI Institute of Insolvency Professionals (ICSI IIP) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (section 8), registered with IBBI as the second Insolvency Professional Agency (IBBI/IPA/16-17/02). It enrols company-secretary-route insolvency professionals and enforces the IBBI code of conduct.

Mandate & machinery

  • Enrolment, monitoring and discipline of IPs; standards development; continuing education for insolvency practice.
  • Its own site describes it as a 'frontline regulator registered with IBBI under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016'.
